Strategic alliance provides and integrted asset valuation service

Sunil Fernando Associates and Brand Finance Lanka recently signed an agreement which establishes an alliance, thereby providing a unique integrated valuation service to clients for the first time in Sri Lanka. Hitherto, clients have conducted either tangible or intangible asset valuations. By combining their individual expertise, the two firms are now able to provide a total integrated valuation, thereby providing a more holistic value of a business. RISC certified Sunil Fernando, the Managing Director of Sunil Fernando Associates, has over 45 years of service in Sri Lanka and overseas as a tangible asset valuer. Commenting on the alliance, he said, “In our work of business we get to grips with all the tangible assets. However, that is only one part of the total picture. We know that intangibles make up a significant part of a business, and this is Brand Finance’s area of expertise. I am pleased that we will be able to offer our integrated services through this alliance, especially with the introduction of IFRS in Sri Lanka this year.” Ruchi Gunewardene, the Managing Director of Brand Finance Lanka said “our alliance will provide a much more holistic offering, which will enable companies to prioritise their future investments and leverage their total asset base.
